1st Month

Quinn is now one month old. As of today he weighs 7lbs 15 oz and is 20 inches long He's gained almost three pounds this month! I am so thankful he is a healthy and growing well. Quinn's a popular guy - he's had so many visitors this month. Currently, his Aunt Christina is visiting from Pittsburgh.

James and I are getting better at interpreting "Quinn noises," learning the importance of bibs (lots of spit up), and attempting to work out a schedule that maximizes our sleep (although we are still completely exhausted).

In my fleeting moments of spare time, I've started working on starting my own special education law practice. Its a big task, so I'm taking my time. The plan is to work part time out of our home. James is currently redoing the room that will be my office - it even has its own entrance. I'm really excited about this decision both for the intellectual challenge, but mostly because I think its a good fit for our family.

Quinn has a "Great" Day

Today James and I took Quinn to meet his Great-Great Grandmother Miller (my father's maternal grandmother), Great-Grandmother Glidden (my paternal grandmother) and Great-Grammie Crandall (my adopted Grandmother). It was a really special day.

Tomorrow James is returning to work and this weekend James' parents and older sister and her boyfriend are all coming to stay with us. I'm excited for Quinn to meet the "Wong" side of his family.

Quinn is doing great. He gained 10 ounces in the 6 days since he left the hospital. His doctor was very pleased. I'm slowly recovering from the c-section and very sleep deprived, but loving being a mom.
